Sustainable fabrics
Confusion about what can be considered a sustainable fabric continues to exist. Each material has its own impact on the environment, both synthetic fabrics and fabrics made from natural fibres. When we speak of sustainable fabrics, we look at the materials that have the least impact. Sustainable fabrics can therefore be divided into 3 clusters. Fabrics that are:
1. derived from natural products
2. biodegradable
3. of a renewable or quickly recoverable nature.
For each product, we will indicate under which cluster it belongs and a description of the fabrics used.
For more information on the individual sustainable fabrics, consult our guide.

Circulair fashion
A circular economy lies on the principles of redefining growth. No longer relying on single-use plastics, toxic byproducts or fast fashion, the circular economy is founded on a transition to renewable energy sources and turning waste into value. It’s more about investing in high quality, well-crafted products that you love so much that you hold onto it and use it for years. Then at the end of its use, that product can be reused or converted into another resource. Like sustainability, a circular economy capitalizes on the principles of reduction, reuse and recycling. However, the circular economy puts more emphasis on not just redesigning the production and consumption of products to be more sustainable, but that the end-of-life products are brought back into the economic cycle.

Handcrafted
Crafts and skills as a cultural heritage. Handcrafted products are made by manufactures who are handcrafting the products in the most expertise way. Handmade fashion is also a counter-reaction on fashion fashion. Handcrafted products are made with passion by manufactures who have an own high demand on their art. By choosing handmade, we not only support these manufactures and their life's work and passion, but also preserve this wonderful cultural heritage.

Slow fashion
A brand can also opt for limited production and/or release timeless, seasonless, high-quality collections. In this way, they want to bring products to the market that consumers can enjoy for longer, but in turn also encourage consumers to use products for longer. This is as a counter-reaction to the fast fashion culture, which is characterised by mass production and cheap quality fabrics.
